The Lady of Charlotte—Bald Eagle Portrait (10″ x 8″)

This original oil painting depicts a Bald Eagle on a blue background. The regal eagle is captured by the artist in subtle whites and browns. At the specific quarter turn of the head, the beak and eyes take on a three-dimensional look when viewed in person. This effect is difficult to reproduce in a photograph.

This painting was painted by renowned wildlife artist Michael Scott Phillips using traditional painting methods. The work was painted on a linen-wrapped birch panel that provides the ultimate in stability over a long period of time, insuring that the painting will not deform or crack for well over a century if properly displayed or stored in the correct conditions. All of the base materials were hand-crafted by the artist prior to beginning work on the painting. All pigments used are color-fast and will not fade if protected from direct sunlight.

The beautiful golden frame complements the blue in the painting and picks up the color of the beak as well. The actual painting is 10″ x 8″ in size not including the frame.
