I’m an oil painter, graphic designer, and author. My focus is on wildlife paintings and landscapes, and my favorite subject is birds.

I originally trained under landscape and wildlife artist John Mac Kah in Asheville, NC—where the wildlife and landscapes are abundant—and my style is highly realist and based on the old masters. I work with the indirect method of painting and build up my paintings in many layers. The goal isn’t to create a photorealism, however; it’s to make the animals appear lifelike and grant them a genuine presence. Recently, I started integrating silver and gold leaf into my work.

Please enjoy samples of my paintings on my Portfolio, and check out my Shop to purchase original oil paintings or prints of paintings and photographs.
