Lake Tomahawk Trees (10″ x 5″)

This original oil painting depicts beautiful Lake Tomahawk in Swannonoa, NC. It was painted alla prima in the summer of 2011 by Michael Scott Phillips. The work was painted on a masonite panel that provides the ultimate in stability over a long period of time, insuring that the painting will not deform or crack for well over a century if properly displayed or stored in the correct conditions. All of the base materials were hand-crafted by the artist prior to beginning work on the painting. All pigments used are color-fast and will not fade if protected from direct sunlight.

The painting measures 10″ (25.4 cm) x 5″ (12.7 cm). The frame is a beautiful classic dark wood frame with gold carvings; it measures 13″ (33 cm) x 8″ (20.3 cm).
