Inside the Boiler Room

This classic black and white photograph depicts the ‘boiler room’ at the derelict Cotton Mill on Riverside Drive in Asheville NC. This old mill burned down decades ago leaving relics of the past. Many have been repurposed into artist studios, others have been torn down, but some remain in ruins.

Photography print is silver gelatin (aka silver halide) on baryta fiber-based paper from Ilford. The print itself is 8×12. This photochemical process complements the natural light of the photograph, giving it a glow of its own. The photograph is beautifully set off by a black frame with a wood grain finish (see photos).

This evocative photograph would look great in many settings, homes and offices.
